The real question is not want else but rather what kind of jelly to
counterpoint the taste of the peanut butter.
BTW the way to stop peanut butter from sticking to your mouth is simple.

Turn the bread upside down.

Thanks! A little misunderstanding. No birthday here. B-Day stands

Yes indeed. Vastly superior to the traditional Wonderbread for the
specified application. Chocolate chip toaster waffles taste better and
don't go soggy. Just remember to let them cool before bagging them up
so the steam doesn't make everything damp.

Substitute Nutella for peanut butter for ultimate nirvana.

Felice,

We had Saturday morning white bread with sugar sitting in front of TV
cartoons!!! Our sister would wake us up in time for Crusader Rabbit and
Davy & Goliath.

For an older sister, she was such a fussbudget! Rules, rules and more
rules!!! "BE QUIET!!!"

Like we were born yesterday!??

Dimitri,

Good one. Left me hanging there for a moment!

We used to shut up a backyard dog for a few minutes by putting out a paper
plate with a large gobb of peanut butter on it. She'd wonder around blind,
with the paper plate stuck to her snout.

Bought us 15 minutes, maybe, of silence.

Best,

Andy

Nutella. really good with apricot jam. PBJ is one thing I like on white
bread, but something substantial like challah is preferable to wonder
for me.

> OR?

As in PB and bananas?

or alternative sandwiches, i.e.

Crispy tempeh with garlic hummus, cucumber, and roasted red peppers in a
pita

or

Chicken salad with yogurt, homemade curry powder, lime juice, mangoes,
red grapes, toasted peanuts, fresh coconut and ginger, red onion, and
garlic on whole wheat

or

Boiled tongue and homemade dill pickles with horseradish sour cream on
rye.

I have a child with very advanced tastes, what can I say?

Saerah (the above were all results of "I'm sick of PB and J, mom. Can
you make something else for my lunch?" fridge-scrounging)

Okay, I've put tuna AND peas in it as well. It's not a Florida thing, it's
just good. Bacon works in place of tuna, too.

kili,

Tuna AND peas?!? Are you feeling well??? C'mon woman, you're just funnin'
me!??

Bacon in m&c has a small shred of hope.

Peas only belong in split pea soup! Imho.

Good grief...
