No idea. Haven't even given it a thought, which probably means I'll make
beans and rice. I have some mustard greens I bought yesterday, so those
too, probably.

Last night was red snapper, linguini with red & yellow peppers and
thick asparagus sautéed in olive oil & garlic, then braised slightly
in vegetable stock.

Tonight, chicken saltimbocca - haven't decided on what else yet. One
kid wants risotto. Maybe someone from Italy can give me an idea about
what goes with it.

Right now I would expect something like small new potatoes and fresh green
beans here. No butter on anything, though, unless you live near Vilco.

I'm going to have bacon-wrapped asparagus and cantaloupe wedges. My
wonderful husband is eating cornmeal battered fried chicken hearts.

Dinner was chickpeas and okra in beef mince and tomato sauce. Very
tasty it was.

That's simple enough and I have the potatoes on hand. Used my beans
the other day, so will have to buy more.

Grazie!

They both sound good to me. Poppers for hubby and appetizers for you.

Soup made with chicken broth/soy sauce, filled up with rice noodles,
napa cabbage, lettuce (left over from lunch), one thinly-sliced Chinese
sausage and topped with minced salad/green onions, sesame oil and white
pepper.

Coconut(fresh! I now have to try to figure out how to use it up :>)-crusted
chicken breast strips, gingered jasmine rice and a green salad.

Fruit salad of mango, papaya, guava, pineapple, and toasted chunks of
coconut in lime juice.

That sounds really good! I have chicken broth in the freezer I should
use, as well as most of the other ingredients on hand. I'm looking
forward to making this sometime in the near future. :>

What you need to do is carefully remove the tops without cutting into
the pod itself, as this will release the sticky fluid. Never slice
them unless you want the stickingess. Fry the okra, set aside, and add
to the dish a few minutes before serving to let them heat through.

I should have written homemade meatballs with spaghetti!

It was dried spaghetti. I prefer that too.

Whoever suggests eating ragu/meatballs with tagliateli is wrong!

Come on over. Hubby still has a few left. Otherwise, he can take you to
the "dreaded meat store" and you can get them for cheap!

Soup is one of my favourite things to eat; it's easy and cheap. Simple
way to use up leftovers that would be boring otherwise.

They are, I swear!

Yours sounds very similar to what I make, but I sometimes use ground
venison too. No garlic in yours?

Roasted chicken with roasted veggies. I was going to do it
on the BBQ rotisserie but it has been raining most of the
day and I did not want to have to keep running out in the
rain. It's a shame because it is a small bird, the sort
that turn out really nicely in the spit.

I always add garlic. Maybe next time I'll try it without.
