Default The last of the apricots

At least the last apricot jam I'm making!

Two batches today brought the total to something like 50 jars although I
have given a few away already.

The remaining fruit will be given away and maybe I'll freeze a few, but
NO MORE JAM.

Now I'm thinking of the farmer's market and peach chutney.

I wish there were something good to make with Swiss chard.
I tried it in the garden this year and it's OK, but no matter
how I have cooked it, it's bitter. Vinegar helps a little.

You'd think a week of temps over 100 would help ripen tomatoes, but no
such thing.

This summer has brought freaky weather everywhere, I guess.
By this time our average rainfall for the year is ~10 inches.
Until yesterday we've had about 3. A storm last night brought
1.5 more to our neighborhood with more expected tonight.
You just never know.
