When cutting meat, the fork handle is literally straight up in the air... sometimes they put their thumb up to steady it while cutting. It is awkward and they look uncouth. That's the one. It's not something you can ignore. When my kids were little I could give them lessons on how to hold your knives and forks. Now I have to bite my tongue. Too bad no one bothered to teach them the basics of what happens when you sit at the table. -- I never worry about diets. I had to attend a gathering at one of those slop holes about 10 years ago and I was sick for days afterwards. Another problem with buffets in rural areas is the farmers forget to clean the cow shit off their boots before they dine. >I've also seen peeps make pigs of themselves at any number of buffet >brunches, etc...which is one reason why I eschew buffets, salad bars, etc. >anymore. We won't do them either. yuk! Lou |
