Breakfast buritos...eggs, sausage chunks, red bell pepper, mushrooms,
green chiles, Elpaso salsa and wholewheat tortillas and of course shredded
medium cheddar cheese. The urge just struck me.

I have this often, or a variation of it.

Today I had homemade chicken soup. I am taking a break from my Advair and
wanted the anti-inflammatory properties. And also the chicken and noodles
and broth. I used small egg noodles and dark meat from legs and thighs.

Two trout fillets, marinaded with finely chopped garlic, dill, parsley and
herb vinegar (home made) cooked in butter. And then half a cheese roll.

*burp* They were delicious

I just started using the Advair and I have constant runny nose and
dryish throat. Yes, I do rinse.

I've got a years supply for free. Wanna buy 'em? I hear they're
not cheap. I think they're the 250/50's.

ObFood: Spaghetti-O's cold from the can and a smoked sausage link
in a tortilla with K&M.

Steve, I assume this is for asthma or another form of COPD? You should
probably hang in there a little while, to give your body a chance to adjust
to it. It's a miracle-worker for asthma, not so much for emphysema as I
understand. The bonus is, the anti-inflammatory properties, for me at least,
travel into my joints. (Most uncomfortable ailments are caused at least in
part by inflammation. I have something weird going on with the last joints
of my fingers and toes. When I take Advair, they don't hurt.)

All that said, I take a week or two break from the steroids every now and
then to see how I do without them.

This is the kind I use. I'm pretty well fixed on scripts. How'd you score a
free year? (Without insurance they run $250-300 a piece. With my insurance
this is $25, and most of the time the pharmacy offers a coupon that takes it
down to $10 or $15. You could probably do someone without insurance a good
turn.)

Ohhhh you win you win. I LOVE trout. Used to catch them at my grandfather's
and he would clean them and his wife would have them fried up within a
couple of hours of being caught.

I'm just having french cut green beans cooked with a wee bit of bacon.

Ha, I've had many lunches of cold-spaghetti-o's straight out of the can.
Ravioli, too.

I love this stuff. Haven't had it for a long time, but want it every time
I pass it in Aldi.

Sorry you are having problems with Advair, it has really helped me.

Today I skipped lunch, I have felt bad since Sunday. Fever, achy
muscles, sore throat and I broke out in a rash all over. Blech! I am
starting to get hungry now, so I must be on my way to Wellville.

Friday and Saturday were wonderful. We nephew visited from Indiana, so I
made Wayne Boatwright's Anniversary Cake (delicious!), I also made
potato salad, cole slaw and pimento cheese with jalapenos. A few other
people cooked, like my BIL and my sister.

Drugs are pricey. Since I cancelled my insurance, I order Advair from
New Zealand and it is about $45 each, and that includes airmail postage.

Wow! Good price. The cheapest I found just now for this strength is $200.

I ate at the hospital today, where I had Nursing Orientation. I
didn't take my lunch, so made do with a chicken salad sandwich. Wasn't
bad, but I think I will take my lunch tomorrow. And that will be Cobb
Salad!!! I stopped on the way home, and got watercress, romaine,
avocados and tomatoes. I have the rest of the ingredients here,
including leftover roast chicken.

I anticipate a MUCH better lunch tomorrow!!!

I still have the Ravioli, Spaghetti and Franks (beef and pork, not
chicken), and Macaroni and Beef in my desk at work. They were 4 for
$3 at the store last night. And they all have pull-top lids (15.5oz
cans) - So technically you don't even need a fork or spoon except
for the ravioli (since those stick together in the can).

Advair is called Seretide on other parts of the planet, that is what I
get when I order it. It is made by GlaxoSmithKline and I have been using
it for 4-5 years.

Well, it's good to know that one may get it at a decent price without
insurance. That's terrific. It's a wonder drug, for my asthma, which is
triggered by the whole world. Or maybe just everything in it. I went
undiagnosed for three years, (just stupidity/denial on my part, and avoiding
doctors) and just thought, "well, this is what it is like to be over 40."
Thank heavens it's not.

http://www.bridgestoaccess.com/
(I had $0 co-pay and thy mail me a 3 month supply at a time)

I qualified earlier this year when I was still in school with $0
income.

I also get my Prevacid for free, too. Again, mail-order, no
co-pay or shipping charges:

It's not like I'm "ripping off" the drug companies. I don't have
any respect for most of them in the first place.

ObFood: Seared Foie Gras with a black truffle and port reduction,
Lobster Newberg, and creme brulee with gold leaf.
