Default Your fav diet pop?

I used to drink between 1-2 two-liters of reg. pop every day and
decided to quit doing that about five months ago. I then started
drinking flavored water and found a particular brand (Meijers Store)
to my liking. Once the taste for reg pop vanished, I tried diet Coke
and find I really like it. Also, I find I love diet Cherry Coke and
diet Dr. Pepper. I also find that I like all of it in cans only. No
two-liters as once opened, the taste is never the same, at least to
me.

Which are some of your favs and also ones you hate? I am looking to
try a few more and need some ideas.

Thanks,
Anthony

Water. I don't like the taste of my tap water so I buy gallon jugs at the
grocery store. I don't care if it isn't really spring water, it tastes
better than my tap, and I've even tried bottling my own tap water and
chilling it. It doesn't taste good. Don't like soda.

Diet pop tastes vile to me as does any artificial sweetener.

I drink coffee and OJ at breakfast, water at lunch, and water, wine or
beer with dinner. Water between meals. I used to drink tonic water on
ice occasionally but now only gin-and-tonic on social occasions.

I do drink regular Pepsi, Coke, or unsweetened iced tea about once a
month with fast food or pizza, but rarely more than that.

I like unsweetened iced tea, too. No sugar, no lemon.

I used to drink Pepsi One all the time, but then I couldn't find it
anymore so I switched to Pepsi Max for a while. Lately I'm starting to
like Coke Zero.

I like the flavored seltzas, they're salt free and they have natural
flavoring. Mostly I drink water from my RO filter but I also enjoy a
change of pace, I happen to like carbonated beverages. I use RO water
to make ice and I use a lot of ice... that's why those 21 ounce
glasses, they hold an entire ice cube trayful... I drink at least four
trays of RO ice a day. Today I mowed, when I mow I take a 2 liter
bottle of RO water, often I refill it twice. For yoose who wonder I
don't drink booze while driving a tractor, I take along plain water, I
don't visit the Crystal Palace until way later, gotta be sundown...
one or two stiff ones never hurt anyone, right gals? <g>

For soda, Diet Pepsi. I'm drinking one now.

Cup of black coffee, and a glass of water, at my desk all day long.

Tab @ work - almost the only time I ever drink coke (as a Southerner
of a certain age, coke is what other parts of the country refer to as
soda or pop).

I like plain carbonated water (don't know if that qualifies as pop),
but I'm drinking a lot less these days simply because of the price.

I can't stand aspartame. I only like diet soda with Splenda in it. Diet Rite
Tangerine is my favorite. Their cola is not bad either. But most of the time
I drink decaffeinated iced tea with splenda and fresh lemon juice.

i must say that i cannot stand the taste of any diet drinks. when i
drink soda pop, it's gotta be the real thing, don't care which brand.
in fact, the cheap stuff, fro the 99 cent store, or the hispanic
markets isn't too bad. here in so cal, in the hispanic markets you
can get either coca colar or pepsi that has been bottled in mexico and
made with real sugar, not the fructose, so when i see it, i buy it.

in the am , i must have my coffee, black no sugar or cream, and since
it's so hot here, i like plain ice tea, also without sugar.

So you now drink twice as much pseudo-soda from cans.

I don't get it.

For ones with caffeine, I like Mountain Dew and Wild Cherry Pepsi. For
"unleaded" I like A&W, Diet Rite tangerine, and 7-up. I have a small
fridge at work, so I can stock a variety.

They used to have a black cherry too, but I haven't see it recently at

Same. I can smell the chlorine in the tap water.

Sometimes I'll add lemon or lime juice to add some tang to relieve the
boredom of plain water.

I don't like diet pop, or very much pop of any kind. My primary beverage
is plain unsweetened iced tea. But I do drink water. We filter our tap
water and chill it. It has a very acceptable taste.

For many years, I drank about 2 liters of Diet Pepsi per day. About two
months ago, I decided to cut caffeine out of my diet and I felt that
spending all that money on diet soda was terribly wasteful. Now, I drink
mostly water. I only drink soda with meals. My soda of choice now is
Canada Dry Diet Ginger Ale, but when that's not available, I go for Diet
Sprite or Sprite Zero. If none of those are available, I just drink
water.

Thank you Mark! I was beginning to wonder if I was one of 3 people in the
country who called all soda (a vile word) coke.

I got 2 2 liter cokes the other day at the Sav-A-Lot for 69 cents each.
They're diet lemon-lime and unlike Sprite Zero, they contain no aspartame.

Long live the south!

I asked the Coke guy (yes, Coca-Cola) at the grocery store when he was
stocking the shelves, "Why doesn't anybody make a diet grape?"

He didn't have an answer. Turns out he didn't have many answers for
anything at all. Kind of an idiot.

So maybe some of y'all are smarter than the Coke guy and can tell me why
they (I don't mean Coca-Cola by 'they') make a diet orange, but not a diet
grape.

For the record, the Coke guy's answer was, "Maybe because a grape has so
much natural sugar in it?"

Yes, I told him that everything on the shelves in front of him was
artificially flavored. He blinked and said, "I don't know. I'll ask my
boss and find out."

As if I'll ever see him again.

Diet drinks leave me with a queasy stomach. If I want to forgo the sugar, I
go for water or iced tea with only a spoonful compared to the huge amounts
in soda. With meals, it is always water.

My primary drink is water. Its refreshing and provides what my body
needs. Our tap water comes from spring fed mountain reservoirs and
tastes great. If it didn't I would install a water filter.

I cannot stand plain water, paricularly if it is tap water. I was really
glad when the nonsense about having to drink 8 glasses of water was
repudianted. Now it seems the recommendation is to allow your thirst to
regulate how much you drink, and that ALL beverages "count" toward water
intake. How in hell could they have ever said that other beverages, which
are mostly water after all, don't "count" as fluid intake? Leaving out
alcoholic beverages and strong coffee due to the diuretic effects.

I got a lot of ideas from these posts, but like many, I also love
water, just not tap water.

I really like Fiji water (http://www.fijiwater.com/) and see it often
being drank on TV shows, news programs, etc. It is very good and very
expensive, unfortunately. Also, I went to some Italian sub shop and
bought a Perria and it was HORRIBLE. It tasted as if it had sat there
for many years. Just awful. I have never been back there.

I believe Kroger's grocery stores are a nationwide chain. I find that
their own brand of bottled water is very good. It has no aftertaste
and is one water that even tastes good at room temperature. something
I do not find with other bottled waters.

Even beer counts as water intake. You *do* have to factor in the increased
water loss due to the diuretic effect, but water is water, and beer is
mostly water.

I drink a lot of Fresca, also the Kroger versions of diet Mountain Dew
and diet Dr. Pepper. I like diet cream soda as a change of pace but
it's kinda hard to find around here. Diet Coke and diet Pepsi are ok
but not my preference.

Diet soda is my means of satisfying (mostly) the craving for sweets.

The only soft drinks I hate are the so-called energy drinks. (You pay
MONEY for this stuff??)

I must say, Fiji water is the best I've ever tasted!

When I want the best water on the planet, I reach for Fiji.

My father-in-law, towards the end of his life, was hospitalized a couple
of times because he was unable to regulate his water intake. I assume
that his condition was an addiction to water. Strange ain't it? He died
of congestive heart failure 5 years ago.
