Default (2008-08-19) NS-RFC: Peas - love 'em or hate 'em?

Every summer and spring, a local farm to me (Swank Farms!) provides
fresh English Peas, both hulled and still-in-pod. I love them! I will
happily purchase 10-lb bags of still-in-pod peas and leave them out
for snacking. The daughter-units _will_ hull them but prefer the
alternative (me). The hulled peas are only sold in pints and can get
quite expensive so I only do those when I have a specific dish in mind
and am pressed for time. I also love S&W's peas. I grew up with my
parents canning peas every year so I looked for a product that is very
similar; S&W is nostalgia-settling. Frozen peas are simply part of our
regular menu. I can add them to virtually any dish, as a side, or to a
salad.
