Default This group makes me hungry

I have lots of good stuff in the house, but now I want muffins and mangoes.
And maybe a cheeseburger. Oh, wait, nobody mentioned cheeseburgers.

I'm making turkey soup right now out of turkey necks. Nothing else sounds
appealing to me for dinner tonight. I'm going to keep the soup really,
really basic (as in plain) because my tummy has been a little off all day
and so has Allan's. We've been like two slugs today.

Still, there's nothing wrong with turkey soup! :~)

Maybe the turkey soup will make you both feel better.

BTW, reading this group makes me hungry, too.

No, there's not! I tried making turkey stock from Thanksgiving turkey one
year, and it just never tasted right. Someone here posted about it tasting
like "dishwater" when they made it. Mine was nearly as bad. What do you add
to yours?

lol! that happens to be a lot around here too. I'll be thinking I'm having
one thing for dinner, then I spend a few minutes on here and suddenly the
whole plans changed!

I usually add enough water to cover the chicken parts, celery, onion,
carrots, garlic cloves, salt, pepper, sage and sometimes some poultry
seasoning. I let it cook down until the bones break apart, let it cool,
strain off the solid ingredients, pick the meat from the bones, add it back
to my stock, and add more fresh veggies. My dad used to add a touch of
white wine, too.
