Watching him on the Green channel. Without the crap, he's OK. Much mored
like his very early days. I am now at minute 16 and will probably make it the next 14 minutes. A real cooking show again, with like real ingredients and recipes. How novel! Sure hope they add more to the lineup. Oh not a BAM so far. Paul |

His show became a parody of itself. True postmodernism. |

I get it on Dish. It is the Planet Green channel. Channel 194 on Dish. It's all new, I am not sure if I am getting it as a promo or what. But I like it so far. They have a website, www.planetgreen.com. It is not a cooking channel but they have a nice little cooking show lineup. Paul |

But what? Who knows? And the suggested timing seems all off. I tried a couple of pork tenderloins a la Emeril; they were well- browned on the outside but near-raw in the center. Had I finished cooking them I'd have need a chipping hammer to slice. I think his show is merely a broad sweep of the possiblities of going green. Or getting near. And a framework for ads. |

My cable company offers four (4) Discovery channels: Discovery Kids 100 Discovery Science 101 Discovery Home/Green 102 Discovery Times 103 Discovery Health 104 The Emeril lineup is on Discovery Home/Green 102. I'll have check it out. Interspersed with other shows like five times today there's a one hour episode: "A Man On His Own", 2008, Emeril Lagasse teaches cooking challenged people how to prepare healthy, tasty meals. Oops, there're different Emeril shows too: "A Healthy Change", "Packing A Punch". Oh, there're more food shows, found one called "Green Screen, 2008; picking from L.A.'s public fruit tres, and an organic catering service. Oh, another; Host Bill Nye examines breakfast products. Well, whaddaya know, BAM! |

I dunno, most channels have lots of commercials, the discovery channels don't seem to have more/less than others. I shut down most of the Olympics on NBC because the commercials were on longer than the actual events... and who wants to watch volley ball like 90 pct of the time (I hate volley ball, I don't consider it an Olympic event), this was by far the very worst Olympics broadcasting ever. Right now on 102 Green there's "Fast Fuel". 2008, Tommy and Ludicris collect cow dung in order to turn it into methane gas. The commercial on right now is a toilet bowl cleaner, how appropo. I erred, I actually have five Discovery channels; 100-105. My cable company package (I subscribe to everything except the X- Rated, fooled ya) is giving me 750 channels, including some fifty HDTV, which are actually duplications, and some 50 music channels, I've no idea what's on most of them. |

I did most of my (limited) Olympics watching on CBC, which is available here in southeast Michigan. A very interesting slant on the coverage, and quite tolerable commercials. Since I don't give a rip about who wins, one slant is as good as another. I never did get to see any sabre/saber, though. Cindy Hamilton |

He seems very personable to the guest and to the people in the store. They kind of guy you'd not mind having a beer with. Funny you mention BAM. He was doing one recipe and the guest asked about spice and he picked up some, reach over the pot and said "you can kick it up" and waved his hand, retracted it and "oh, never mind". Kind of funny at the time, making fun of himself. |

Yup, falls in with Disocvery and TLC and many under that umbrella. They were doing a Green Channel preview (on the TLC channel)here in Canada for a while. I didn't see much of interest. |

Warty-Melone n' White Peach Salsa with marinated grilled Flank Steak n' Shicken... lotsa grillin' happening. BAM! |

He looked like he either gained 30 lbs. since the last season on FN or he's on steroids for something. Reminded me of a friend's daughter who seemed to just inflate when on a steroid-based medication for her chrones disease. Jon |
