Default Matsutake mushroom season opens on Fremont-Winema (Oregon)

You can read about it he

http://www.heraldandnews.com/

But only if you look today. You have to scroll down,
about three quarters of the way down the page.

I wonder how many places have these mushroom seasons
when people can go harvest lots of high-quality mushrooms?
I know that some people make a living (or part of a living)
going to these places, collecting mushrooms to sell.
Though it's probably a hard way to make money. I'm
thinking more along the lines of a fun food-related
vacation.
