I tried it, but it was not that great- seemed kinda rubbery. I think
next time I make it, I'll add a bit of baking powder and use
buttermilk instead of regular milk. We did use mini chocolate chips
which helped with the sinking...

I had to say "what recipe?" because Hurricane Ike struck here a week ago
Friday and for that period of time my ISP won't show any posts during that
time period.

I don't think Billy will mind if I copy and paste the post from last
week. --Lia

-----------------------------------

I have never tried this....but boy...I bet I will tomorrow

Most Dangerous Chocolate Cake Recipe in the World
5-MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour (that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
some nuts (optional)
Small splash of vanilla
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix
thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high. The cake
will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed.
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (This can serve 2 if you want to share!)
And why, is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any
time of the day or night!

Well........... you're just going to have to sit up till 2am and add some
new surveys then, so we who live on the 'other side' get a chance to grab
some in the daylight hours :-)

LOL I have become an almost expert roofer in the last week or so. I have
been helping my neighbour with his roof. He is a handyman and knows
what he is doing, but he was doing it by himself. I need some roofing
done too so since I helped him he is goign to come over and help me.
There is not that much to it, as long as it is a low pitch roof. The
part I need done is low pitch. When I have to do the rest of the house
again I will hire someone to do it.

I made one.

It was enough for two....... and I got about 4 teaspoons out of it.

The SO has given it her royal decree....... it may be made again. Probably
tomorrow night!!

I used a *big* cup too......... turned it out on a plate and did the
zushing thing.

The 85% chocolate was shaved into it, except for a couple of chunks. They
were all melted and runny when the mound was probed.

Next time I'm going to tart it up a bit.

It's one of those very 'flexible' recipes, IMHO - and as some have
already pointed out, it's ideal for the kids to make too. I've added
some crushed cashew nuts to one of my attempts, that was also nice...

I still think Billy should be punished somehow for posting the damn
recipe in the first place <veg>. I am sure there are quite a few r.f.c.
folks (and some from a.b.f.) that are ruing the day it was posted... So
much for 'getting rid of the winter flab'. Not much chance of that
anymore. ;-)

As far as losing our excess flab, you are right. I have a message for
Billy. "We hates it, we hates it!" - Gollum LOL

I am eating mine right now. I cooked one that is gluten-free and one
that is regular. I used mini chocolate chips, but no nuts. They both
turned out yummy. Mine cooked in 2 minutes, 22 seconds (222 on the
dial, that is how lazy I am).

I've just now tried it, have it in front of me as type even.

It's good. It's not the best chocolate cake I've ever had, but it is
the fastest. The texture is a little rubbery, but that could be because
we used the higher gluten flour in the cannister. It's sure not the
soup I was expecting.

Since Jim's old Panasonic microwave from 1978 is still working, it's
never been replaced. He has the original cookbook that came with it.
He got curious as to whether this recipe that's circulating the internet
is a new thing, and it isn't. There's a recipe for a Devil's Food Cake
in there that's very similar to the coffee mug one. That recipe calls
for mixing in a bowl and pouring into a (presumably glass) baking dish.

There are recipes for other baked goods in there made from cake mixes.

I did. I made one per the original recipe with just the chocolate chip
addition, although I used cream instead of milk since I only had skim milk.

I made a second one, adding toasted pecans and rum extract instead of
vanilla.

I could see lots of variations for this.

I had the slivered almonds there and didn't even think to put them in....
was thinking about strawberries, but thought they'd go too mushy.

Next one is going to have Lindt 'Orange Intense" and some Grand Marnier
added :-)

http://www.germandeli.com/liexdachwiin.html

That'll be safe to do as the SO has her RDO's for the next 2 days :-)

Well, I am *always* glad to assist when it comes to the Mockery Of

know.

:-)

Apparently from what folks say on alt.ozdebate all those "food pictures"
that he posts for us on rec.food.cooking are simply kyped from cookery
magazines he finds in the rubbish that is piled high outide his Brisbane
council flat, lol...

We yanks are very kindly disposed towards Oz and it's inhabitants, it's a
wonderful place, but if PeterPeeniePullerLucas were a 'country' he'd be

I also had a look see at alt.ozdebate. All I could find after reading
pages of threads on google were useless debates on whether or not he is
an asshole.

Maybe I just have a high threshold for obnoxious behavior.

If I still cared, I could check out the exif data from the pictures he
posts, but I don't

I see my 'fan club' is still going strong.

It all comes down to one thing Saerah......... I don't kiss anyones ass.

The ozdebate saga started quite some years ago (around '95 IIRC), when I
first joined that group. They had this "I've been here longer than you,
so I can 'kick your head in' and you have to like it, being the newbie
you are."

I did the wrong thing by them,........ I kicked back.

I also 'outed' a few frauds, liars, and wannabes. (Oh, and one closet
queer, moron morrow.)

And some of these self proclaimed Internet 'stalwarts' *really* don't
like that.

Which is why you see the likes of 3Dogs and Moron morrow joining in with
some of the retards from ozdebate.

You'll find, for the most part, that the 'people' (and I use that term
rather loosely) that are instigating these obsessive, childish,
schoolyard attacks, are all nameless, faceless, anonymous posters.

3Dogs being the 'odd' one out. It has it's mug on rfc mugshots. The rest
*love* hiding behind their anonimity.

The internet has become a means for these 'people' to finally be legends
in their own lunch box.

>

Probably why you still talk to creeps like 3dogs and moron morrow.

It wouldn't matter *what* proof you would come up with...... the
pathetic, obsessive, stalkers would denounce it as fake, and give some
techno-babble explanation to back up their bullshit.

As stated before, in the absence of any proof, they'll make up any
bullshit they want and try to make it sound plausible.

It's actually quite funny to watch them run around screaming and crying
whenever someone comes up and speaks in my favour :-)

BTW........ here's the link to my step by step for making Christmas
Pudding....... but hey! don't believe me....... believe the
stalkers..... "all the stuff came out of the rubbish bins from around my
Brisbane council flat".

I'd rather not.

Even acknowledging that those pathetic stakers exist is soul draining, and
only goes to feed their manic 'dreams'.

I was being facetious! I would rather you take your petty
bickering elsewhere. Don't you get it?

With all due respect Billy, PeterL didn't start the 'petty bickering' in
this thread. You've got a couple of other RFC regulars to blame for it
this time round...
