Grapes are on sale. I love sweet, juicy grapes, but not the sour ones.
Whey you buy grapes, do you taste them, first?

Whenever grapes are on sale here at a very decent price you can be
sure they are not ripe and rather mouth puckering.

No. I always felt it was akin to biting an apple and leaving it there
for someone else to buy. I rarely buy bad grapes, so either I'm lucky or
I have a good eye?

I buy grapes each and every shopping day, and I've never felt the need
to taste-test them. The appearance usually tells you more anyway IMO.

Its really quite annoying to see a nice bunch that has been handled and
had several grapes picked off.

Agree 100%.

Visual inspection normally tells you what you need to know anyway, IMO.
Plus, I prefer the less sweet varieties myself, so sour ones are not a
huge issue for me.

My favourites are the black varieties, which are rarely very sour anyway.

At this time of year if the grapes are native, you shouldn't have to
taste them. They are at their peak.

They are usually only sour at the beginning of their season.
