Anyone care to recommend a good pasta book; recipes, flavourings, colouring,
drying, storing etc.

Hi Alex,

My favorite pasta book is "The Pasta Book" by Luigi Veronelli.
According to Amazon, the book is out of print, but it can be purchased
used, for as low as $12.71. Here's the link... http://tinyurl.com/srct

The book covers topics such as wheat and flour, commercial and
homemade pasta, expert advice and lots of recipes for sauces (meat,
vegetable, fish and white), stuffed pasta, gnocchi and crepes.

I have found it a great resource when making homemade pasta and
sauces.

Thanks readah

It sound like what I am looking for, is the full title Pasta Book: All You Need to Know about Pasta Plus 150 of the Best Recipes from Italy with the ISBN: 0312597967? if so I have found it.

However I have noticed it was published in 1985, which whilst I know pasta has been around for quite some time I am interested if to know if there are any newer books as well which may have newer bits in.

bugialli published his in '88. veronelli must be an excellent book. i
don't know it but veronelli is a great gourmet and has a great
reputation. not much has changed about pasta. these books don't get
obsolete. i included a full chapter on fresh pasta in my book and i
think i am not inventing anything. in 7-10 day i will upload
step-by-step pictures and instruction on how to make pasta in my site.
