I don`t know if this is a chain of stores or not - I`m in NJ. I went
there today for lunch and it was really good! (I`ve been ill awhile and
just starting to get an appetite back). They have a large selection of
fresh sandwiches, soups, salads, etc in the eatery - and amazing looking
pizza of all different types. Huge slices, too. Tables and booths to sit
in. I had a chicken soup and a piece of pepperoni stromboli and my mom
had a chili and a slice of pizza. It`s not cheap, but it`s a really nice
store, IMO - I recommend it!

There are some here in WA- I've only been in one, but it was really
spendy...but you are right, their stuff is nice!

Fairly wide-spread, started right around here in California, I believe.

AKA Whole Paycheck Market by some, but agreed, they have a good
selection of products, and if whole (natural) or organic foods are
important to you, it's a great place to shop. The deli stuff is fairly
expensive, but every now and then we splurge for a pick-up dinner...

I guess Google is too complex for WebTVers.

If you don't mind profiting an evil man, John Mackey . . .

Yes, it is a chain. We went there for the first time a few months ago. It
is not the place to buy your regular staples every week, but they do have
some foods not found elsewhere. Some are over priced, but others are well
in line for what you get. It is my first choice for fresh fish and they
have a great cheese selection.

Another example of how WebTV'ers are out of touch with the rest of
the world.

It's an Austin-based chain: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/.

Here in Austin they can't compare in price to any regular grocery
store. Pretty much everything except beer and bread is on average,
twice as expensive at WF.

I go there about twice a month for a couple slices of their "hearth
baked" pizza. I always get an attitude when I ask for it reheated
in their brick oven for "no less than 60 seconds" ("But sir, it's
already hot". "No, it's lukewarm... It always is. That's why I
asked you to re-heat it...".

The pizza really is good when it's hot and crusty. But don't let
'em try and serve it to lukewarm.

Ah yes. I remember that sleezy tactic. WF needs competition.

The girl behind the counter asked us if we wanted it heated a bit, we
didn`t have to ask for it.

Yep. He's a dirtbag of the first order, greed and avarice being his raison
d'être. Granted, he has a few decent products in his stores, but for the most
part, it's over-hyped and insanely over-priced. I avoid WF like the plague.
