So whats the issue here....I would add some fried okra and Tabasco
sauce but other than that it sounds good to go. Bet W might opt for
fried fish instead of chicken though

From WikiReply

Q. What is Barack Obama's favorite food?

A. According to Barack Obama in an interview on 1/18/2008 his favorite food
is from Italian Fiesta Pizzeria in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL.

That sounds more like the menu of a low IQ, red-necked, cross-posting,
racist bigot.

This is odd because whenever we had black musicians at Le Hibou, a coffee
house I worked at in the late 60's, they inevitably preferred steak to what
they called spicy food like pizza, whenever we gave them a choice.

Certainly was the case with Muddy Waters and his band.

That's a pretty broad generalization/stereotype, Michel.
Would you call it odd if a Canadian preferred steak to poutine or
creton?

Cheez. I didn't draw a conclusion, I merely reported the situation as it
was explained to me by the musicians themselves. I didn't make these
people make these choices. This is what THEY told ME. If it's a
generalization, it's theirs, not mine.

So, if in the 1960's, (some) black people preferred steak to Italian, what
is wrong with that?

> Would you call it odd if a Canadian preferred steak to poutine or

Not at all...most English people in Canada have no idea what cretons are,
nor have they eaten poutine.

Where were these musicians from?

Tangent: Minneapolis has two kinds of soul food restaurants --
Southern (usually unspecified) and Chicago.

That is so weird! Do you connect dietary preferences of a bunch of jazz
musicians from a sould food background with those of a Harvard educated
Senator reared in Hawaii by a wasp grandmother? What could be the
connection?

How would I know? Muddy Waters band is the oly one I clearly remember.
This was 40 years ago.

No, that's precisely it. I was just mentioning an odd thing I encountered.
I think you're trying to find something in this that isn't there.
