Default [OT] Hey you MNs! Has Al Franken won, yet?

What's going on up there? Why is the recount taking so long. The suspense
is killing me.

Crazy leftist comedian, running for MN senate race, who absolutely
infuriates Bill O'Reilly. I could care less about Al's politics, jes wanna
see Bill burn! It's in an auto recount (within .05% votes) and the rabid
Right is foaming at the mouth. We all know how those wild and crazy MNs
love to elect whackos. If Al get's in, it should be a hoot.

It will probably be December before the (hand done) recount is
finished. 2.9+ million votes and they are separated by 206.

Actually, Al Franken is a very bright and compassionate man. He would
make a fine US Senator. He was a close friend of the late Senator Paul
Wellstone D-MN (alav hasholem).

Like Wellstone and norm coleman the current office holder, "A la
Flanken" is a Jew. Franken went to the same High School as Thomas
Friedman NY Times columnist - I do not know if they were classmates.
norm coleman is a former democrat who jumped ship.

I've heard THAT rumor, too, but nndb dispelled it:

Sexual orientation: Straight

I jes wanna see him get Bill's goat. Bill get's apoplectic over Franken, as
if he wasn't looney enough. I'll let you MNs deal with his politics.

I don't know what you're referring to, but I was talking about our
former governor, Jesse Ventura. I believe he appeared somewhere wearing
a feather boa. Not sure if he was an officeholder at the time.

The recount is only beginning. It was other stuff happening first.
We've a state law that automatically generates a recount at a certain
percentage of difference in vote count. Norm was suggesting that Al
should just give up so we could be done with it and get on with
business. But that was before Al closed the gap to 206 votes. I wonder
if he still feels the same way, and I wonder what he'll say when Al
comes out the winner (that's the speculation of a bunch of university
profs, not necessarily my opinion). Stay tuned. :-)

The _real_ recount starts next month.

Then...well, both sides have enlisted lawyers, ready to object if
necessary.

That election is a real nail biter, that's for sure!

I predict he'll lose by 200 votes - more or less, the way normal
voting goes.... he's behind now and will probably stay behind.

Whatever happens, the winner certainly can't claim a mandate!

It's going to take some time to resolve the
disputed ballots.

http://minnesota.publicradio.org/fea...enged_ballots/

Some people mark their ballots in the dumbest ways,
like circling optical scan registration marks or
writing in votes for "lizard people".
