Does anyone have a tested recipe for chocolate cookies similar to Oreos
(without the creme filling)? They don't have to be black; I don't want to mess with squid ink or paste food coloring. I assume it'll made with dutch cocoa to get an honest very dark color (or maybe just *lots* of regular cocoa), and shortening to make them crisp. Thanks. Bob |

Someone on one of my lists used to purvey it. -- Jean B. |

I rather liked the filling, but the cookie part was a no-go. -- Jean B. |

May need to break down and buy a '100 calorie' pack, which seem to be the wafers without the filling (which is revolting LOL). Having a list of the 'real' ingredients might help with the research ![]() |

I wonder how similar the chocolate wafer cookies are? -- Jean B. |
