Come on, this is funny

And for those who think I shouldn't be smiling after my mother died... yes,
I should be! She's not in pain anymore. She's with my father. Her
husband of 56 years. And soon I can get on with my own life again.

Right now I'm stuck with a bunch of applesauce. Hehehe

Of course you should be smiling, and for all the right reasons!

You know what they say when you have a bunch of lemons. Well, make
applesauce cake!

Jill,
It is as if I could say those exact words, except my mom and dad
were only together for 54 years! (When my parents would argue, my mom
would always say those 50+ years were the worst of her life (the last
few years she mellowed and just did not feel like arguing).

I wish you well.

I'll be donating a lot of food to the food bank. Clothing will go to
Goodwill or the Franciscan thrift shop. Mom never did manage to clean out
Dad's closet. Now I've got two closets to clean out.

I can empathize... I have the belongings of 3 people stored at the
moment. I have to wait until my sister is ready to go thru them with me
so I can see what stays and what goes.
