Give Sheldon a break, Om. He's been a very good friend for a very long
time. We exchange holiday cards. He even ventured into chat once upon a
time, some years ago If I send out holiday cards this year I'll send him
one

Sheldon has been given more breaks than anyone else here and still behaves
like an animal. The fact that he was decent to you means nothi8ng in terms
of his place in the community, only that what happens to you is more
important to you than any standard or morality or civility in general. And
that is not rare.

Sheldon could start building a Taj Mahal dedicated to your mother or you and
it would not raise his genuine worth as a human one bit.

Those that pick on you for your way of expressing grief are just as low as
Sheldon, they just are more subtle.
