I will be tucked away in bed some but I wonder if any of you suffer
from loss of sleep like I do. Ever since I was taught to sleep lightly
in SpecFor I cannot get a decent nights shut eye. But it has not
affected me mentally *yet* I have the strength to get by with only 3
hours sleep at night.

Nevertheless you *really* have to wonder at the mental stability of
some people in this group. There's some frikken mentally retarded
whackjobs in here :-/

No.

I have a reputation in my family of being a sound sleeper. I also sleep
a long time. 8 hours is just a start for me.

My wife complains to me about how she can't get to sleep and doesn't
sleep well when she does. I just put up with her complaints. Within
two minutes of her head hitting the pillow she is snoring up a storm.
Every time. She is a light sleeper, though. If I talk to her, she
responds. She understands everything. However, I have to be careful,
because the next morning she remembers nothing.

My daughter used to complain, also. She would get up in the morning
(and she isn't easy to wake up), and complain that she hadn't slept at
all. Now, my wife and I would check on her several times a night, and
she was out like a light. She never even got up to pee.

When my oldest son was little, we were very proud of how we had raised
him. None of this tiptoeing around because "the baby is asleep". It
wasn't till we had our next, who was more normal, that we realized that
we hadn't done a thing. He was just a heavy sleeper. When he was a
little baby, he was sitting on my lap one day, fast asleep. I picked
him up by his ankles and shook him. It wasn't a hard shake, just a
gentle up and down. He never woke up.

When my daughter was about two, I had agreed to pick up my son after his
swim lesson. She was showing signs of nap time, but I wanted her to
wait until we were back, so I could have some peace and quiet that
afternoon. Well, I wasn't diligent, and she fell asleep on a chair.
About fifteen minutes later, I picked her up, carried her out to the
vehicle, strapped her in and drove to the swim center. I picked up my
son, drove home, unstrapped my daughter from her car seat, carried her
in the house and laid her on the couch. She had never woken up the
whole time. I unsnapped her pants and changed her diaper. I didn't
bother to snap her pants back up. I carried her in her room, laid her
in her crib and put a blanket over her. Still fast asleep.

Lucky you! I had my first good night sleep in weeks last night...
possibly because I finally stopped drinking *any* tea or coffee except
liquorice tea which is totally caffeine free!

Even so I still need a CPAP machine to keep me breathing at night.
Without it I can't sleep at all.

Most of the time I sleep about 6-7 hours a night. If I am really tired,
I might get up and walk around in my sleep, but I never leave the
bedroom (I don't think). I never turn the light on either. One night,
I was taking pictures off the wall, when I woke myself up. I went back
to bed and I fell asleep immediately. Another night, I was fumbling
through a drawer looking for "3" things. What things, I have no idea.
lol Again, I woke myself up and I went right back to bed. Makes no
sense to me.

They don't have Petaluma in there, but you'd be on samesame with Oxnard and
Orange........ so it's 1600hrs (4pm) where you are. (10am here)

1400hrs (2pm) is usually 'Nana-nap' or 'Poppy-pause' time :-)

Petaluma, BTW, is a *very* nice wine over here.

I plan on 5 hours of straight sleep. If I can go back to sleep, I'll
probably toss and turn for 90 min - 2 hours and than go back to sleep
for a couple more hours, if I'm lucky.

I'm usually exhausted by the weekend, so I can sleep a straight 8
hours or more then.

That is interesting. I have heard that people who take Ambien will do
that. When you go to the kitchen, do you cook something, or do you eat
food that has already been cooked?

Wait for the random binary posts of empty wine bottles. Yes - he actually
used to do this...

*Never* full, or unopened - only empties. He actually used to raid the
bins of trendy restaurants for high-priced empty bottles, then post the
pics of empty bottles. This was on alt.binaries.ozdebate circa 2003-2007
