Default Mothers Cookies

I don't remember ever eating them, but I do know a lot of people have
been bummed about the company going out of business.
This may be good news.

This is wonderful news for the employees of Mother's, and their fans. I
like their Wedding Cookies, but I only buy them every 5-6 years. Unless
they are hot and freshly baked, I am not a cookie person.

I read the story as Kellogg is buying their recipes only - not that the
company itself isn't closing.

Doubt is will help employees

"The company, maker of Frosted Flakes, Cheez-Its and Eggo waffles, did not
disclose terms of the deal. It said it did not purchase any other assets of
the company"

The article says they bought the trademarks and recipes.
But did they purchase the molds or dies used to make the
famous white and pink animal cookies? Without those,
the cookies won't be the same. ;-(

On the other hand, if someone legally obtained those,
they'd be in a position to exact a very rich price for
them.
