Simply reply to post, then click "more options" at the top of his post and select Report this message". Say why his material and its presentation is not appropriate. Google will ban his account if you do this. This author is sending the same filth to many groups. Also, if you see "more options" click on "show original" here you will see the full "headers" that means the full message showing the original source and routing date. The source of these vulgar messages are revealed and you should copy and paste the entire text and email it to the address shown as "send complaints to" or similar line. Then the person will loose their internet account or newsposting account. -- Mike... . . . . . . Remove underpants to email |

"Please be aware that, while we understand how annoying off-topic posts can be, Google doesn't regularly monitor or censor postings sent to Google Groups. However, we do try to prevent wide-scale spam and other forms of Usenet abuse, most notably involving numerous repeat offenses or the posting of someone's personal information (such as credit card or social security numbers)." Does something in here qualify? Have you ever seen the bot reply Google sends to complaints? It basically says, "so learn to filter; it's not our responsibility". -- Blinky Killing all posts from Google Groups The Usenet Improvement Project: http://improve-usenet.org Need a new news feed? http://blinkynet.net/comp/newfeed.html |

The only possible cleansing method is - DO NOT REPLY! They want attention - they get their kicks from flame-baiting then watching the regulars go spastic. Short of going to a moderated group - which isn't going to happen with this volume of traffic - ignore and let them get bored. - Mark |

The reality is that Google Groups will be the one to clean up the filth in the newsgroups and bring order to the universe. Give them a little more time to get a larger block of posters. Soon they'll be able to lay down some law. Mr. Boris might be vulgar but he ain't really, really vulgar. Guess I've been reading these NGs for too long. :-) > > Also, if you see "more options" click on "show original" here you will see > the full "headers" that means the full message showing the original source > and routing date.
