Pistachio Dessert

Recipe By : Damsel in dis Dress
Serving Size : 9 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Christmas Desserts

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 cup walnuts or pecans -- chopped
8 ounces cream cheese
2/3 cup powdered sugar
9 ounces Cool Whip® -- divided
2 1/2 cups milk
2 boxes pistachio pudding mix -- instant
1/3 cup sliced almonds
1/3 cup maraschino cherries -- diced

Mix flour, butter, sugar, and nuts together in a 9 x 13-inch baking
pan. Press into bottom of pan, and bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
Cool.

Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar together, and gently fold in half
the carton of Cool Whip. Spread on cooled crust.

Stir milk into pudding mixes. Thicken. Spread over cheese layer.

Spread remainder of Cool Whip on top; sprinkle with almonds and
cherries.

Chill and serve.

Try Kheer or another white rice pudding sprinkled with chopped
pistachios and pomegranate seeds. So pretty! Especially in a stemmed
glass.
