Default Kimberly, are you okay?

Just wondering if Kimberly (Nexis) is okay... I know she lives in San
Diego, and they are mentioning the University city area.

Let us know how you are, Kimberly!

I don't think it was severe.

Christine was referring to the F-18 that crashed in Kimberly's
neighborhood yesterday. Four people were killed. Two homes incinerated
and three others damaged.

It also looks like the 4 killed were from the same family group... the
Yoon's.

I wasn't talking about a quake. I was talking about the plane
accident.

I managed to miss that part of the news, if it made it here at all.

Used to work not far from Miramar. Sort of surprised that this hasn't
happened more often. There was a *lot* of hardware flying over day and
night.

And they come screaming over the highway (the I-15?) scarily low, IIRC.

Inasmuch as CNN has devoted about 12 of the last 48 hours to covering that
story, I'm sure the news *did* make it there. Might not have been part of
your LOCAL news, though.

No kidding. LOL the 15, 805 and 5, in that order, from the air station.
When I had a job in La Jolla, those suckers were still quite low until
they were out over the ocean. From the farther-inland workplace could
hear them practising aircraft landing technniques (land and take off
immediately) all night. Would never want a house near there.

I watch CNN, but I guess I was watching Rachael Maddow, Keith Oberman
or something like that when I got home.

I am ok, and I'm so sorry I didn't reply sooner! I am about 10 miles from
where it crashed...it was right down the street from my brother's work, so I
was panicked too. Thank you for caring, Christine, I mean it. That means a
lot to me. I'm ok

Thank you, Michael. I have been sick with this ridiculously stubborn kidney
infection which makes it hard to sit in this chair, so I haven't been online
much at all. Again, thank you, and everyone, for your concern.

It was a horrific crash, and I don't understand why things like that seem to
always happen just before the holidays...seems so much worse to me when that
happens. I would hate to have to be reminded of something so sad every
Christmas.

That was the other reason I didn't want to live there. Never liked the
back country of San Diego county even before all the housing estates
were built there.

Whew!!! I didn't know what your area was called...but I know they
said something about University City, and you are near the University.
So I got worried...

Glad to hear you are okay...although a kidney infection is no fun...
