Eggnog Latte - Great for a snowy winter night in Chicago!

http://bakedchicago.typepad.com

3 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups whole milk
1 cup whipping cream
1/2 cup coffee liqueur
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon instant espresso coffee powder
ground cinnamon and whipping cream, for garnish
8 long cinnamon sticks for stirring

In heavy saucepan, stir eggs, milk, whipping cream, coffee liqueur,
honey and espresso coffee powder. Cook and stir over medium heat
until mixture coats a metal spoon. DO NOT let it boil.

Pour eggnog mixture into coffee mugs. Sprinkle each with some ground
cinnamon and whipped cream. Insert cinnamon sticks. Serve while
hot.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, sounds like I may just have to try this soon.

I'll just set the air-con to 16C and close the room up for a few hours
to get the right 'atmosphere' :-)

BTW, no offence, but every time I see your ID name, I keep
thinking..."Where do they make baked beans?" ;-)

Peter,

I have had the impression that this poster has some
connection with Chicago, which is sometimes called
the windy city. I know you're an Aussie, so I wasn't
sure that you would have been aware of that.

Boston is the home of baked beans in America.

The Windy City is Chicago (where I am from) and was born out of a
reference to politicians around the time of the World's Fair in
Chicago and their propensity for talking and blowing lots of hot air.

Baked Chicago is just a play on the term Baked Alaska. I like to bake
and I'm from Chicago.

Erm, it's 9deg Celcius here within Australia peter.
The wood heater is on (with a nice lamb and venison stew simmering away
on top).

Australia is a big country, and doesnt begin or end with Queensland.

Welcome! I think most of us "got" the connection, plus I'm glad to
see you're a real person who reads and responds. Please post in other
threads.

=> Head's up: Put on your flame retardant underwear if you decide
to participate as a full on poster in rfc! You've been here long
enough to get the "lay of the land".
