Default Dromedary date mix

some Dromedary mixes are still available, the brand is owned by Tone
now. See the mix at:
http://www.amazon.com/Dromedary-Date.../dp/B000AP1NVA

I remember my Mother and later, my wife, buying Dromedary dates in the
steel rectangular can. The only brand either would use. Haven't seen any
dates in the stores but the packaged dry ones in years with the
exception of some fresh dates that come in periodically.

Well, that makes three items now, the Gingerbread, the Pound Cake, and now
the Date Bread Mix. I still wish they made their yellow cake mix, but
searches have not turned it up.

That's all I used to buy, too, George. Dromedary were the best dates you
could get in the supermarke at the time. I still buy certain types of
dried dates in the supermarket when recipes call for dried dates, but one
real advantage of living in AZ is that many varieties of dates are grown
locally and sold fresh at fruit stands and farmer's markets. Last week I
bought some fresh Medjhool dates that were a good 3" long, soft, plump, and
sweet.

This could be the basis of an new (OT) survey. "If anyone in r.f.c was
going to date a dromedary, who would it be?"

You *know* there's only one clear answer... The other one with the hump and

Clearly, anyone who looks like that has a hump, even if you can't see it in

If I could walk that way I wouldn't need a doctor.

Oops! Wrong joke. Never mind.

So this horse walks into a wrong joke...
