Default For New Year's....

.......I've been invited by a friend to a New Year's Party. Actually,
a Vietnamese New Year's Party, where New Year's is celebrated
somewhere in mid-February on their calendar.

I will be in the midst of TONS of Vietnamese festival food, potluck
style. And throngs of lovely Vietnamese women. I don't know which to
devote my time to.

eek!

I'm sure you'll figure it as you go, Romeo. Are you familiar
with their culture - like what to do and not do at a mixed age party?

Not entirely, but I'm sure that my good friend Phuc won't let me make
too much of an ass of myself.

Tet is such a fun celebration, I went to a couple of Tet festivals in
Houston. Everyone should check and see there are any Tet festivals in
your area. There were Vietnamese arts and crafts, plants, beauty
contests, martial arts, and most of all - delicious food.

If you are going to someone's home, offer a fruit basket to the host
(candied fruit is good, too) and buy some red envelopes so you can give
cash to the children.

You will have to let us know all about it.

phaeton,

I'd most likely be the happiest idiot on New Years Eve in Times Square,
NYC!

Not likely.

Happy New Years 2009.

Best,

Andy
