I don't eat bananas often tho'. It's that low carb thing.<sigh> I still have a lot of weight to lose so avoid sugar, including fresh fruit for the most part. :-( I ate one banana yesterday I think (or the day before). Mine in the back yard aren't quite ripe yet.

Yeah, when I lived in Calif. we had a lemon tree in the back yard. I don't think I ever bought a lemon in 13 years! I sure hated it when I moved back to Pittsburgh! I never had a lemon when I need one. I hate having to go to the store for a lemon! Limes, however I still had to buy at the store but they were cheap. Well, that only applies to those who have air conditioning. I lived in Inglewood, CA, for 13 years without it and lived to tell about it. ;-) Kate -- Kate Connally “If I were as old as I feel, I’d be dead already.” Goldfish: “The wholesome snack that smiles back, Until you bite their heads off.” What if the hokey pokey really *is* what it's all about? |

Sorry about that.. ![]() I usually swing by there only if I see something on sale, that I want. Like during the holidays: they had Gold Medal flour on sale, 2 bags/$3, with each bag being 5 pounds. I stocked up. I think during that same period, they had an incredible sale on spare ribs: something like $1.59/pound. Maybe less. I got some. However, it is pretty much on a circular path if I want something. This morning, I swung over to Ranch market (from work), then came home via Sunflower, then Talin.. If I had wanted anything from JohnBrooks, it would have been pretty easy to go there in terms of my path. However, this week, there isn't thing that I really need. Plus, I am mostly sticking to buying veggies these days. My freezers are loaded with poultry and meats bought on sale. Christine -- http://nightstirrings.blogspot.com |
