Darn.
I am using Agent, and I am trying to get my new blog address to show
up as a signature...

Any ideas, folks?

I know Koko does this. Koko?

Maybe not the best place to ask...if there is a better one, tell me.
I don't like to do OT much here..

I'm not seeing a sig other than your first name, Kiddo. (What's it
supposed to be?) :-)

In my older version of agent, you go into "Tools" and select
"Options." From there you can find a "Signatures" selection in the
"Posting Messages" folder. Click on the "Add" option, give it a name
and type the text you want. Then save it. If you have multiple sigs,
you need to select the one you want when posting each message. There's
a signature option at the upper right of the message-compose screen.

In a pinch, just do a thing like post-script at bottom of page, but instead
of "ps" use "-- " (2 hyphens and a space (no quotes) <return> <sig>).

For a more perm solution, the agent FAQ reveals:

"How do I have my signature added to the end of my post?

in Agent 3.1 and older, the default signature is set in the Group | Default
Properties | Posting Messages panel. In Agent 3.3 and newer, the signature
is a function of the Persona, and is assigned via Tools | Options | Posting
Messages | Personas.

The signature is automatically attached to all documents that you post or
mail using Agent. Note that the signature will not be added to the
Composition Pane contents, Agent appends the signature when the message is
actually sent."

It's brand new as of this week. Her first post is Kili's kalua pig
recipe. It's a nice start.

In chat last night we talked about a charcuterie event to blog about.
Maybe a bacon throwdown. Wanna play? I betcha Chris would let you.

Go to tools, options, open the posting messages folder, click on
signatures. In the top little box that says signatures is where you
add your persona, the name Agent knows you as. Then put you signature
where it says text then click apply.

Hope this helps.

That's why my sig shows up so rarely. I have not found a way to make
it automatically apply to every message, and have to do it manually. I
sure liked my older version a lot better!

Also in the reply window there is a signature option. Make sure your
persona is showing rather than none.

What do you see on your right click menu? In any case, it's time to
visit to alt.usenet.offline-reader.forte-agent. They can help you
with your model of Agent.

Probably not -- you are not using a properly delimited sig (i.e., you
really don't have a sig at all. I properly delimited sig (that news
clients can *treat* as a sig is preceded by one line that contains *only*
two hyphens followed by a space and a Return.

All that, in other words, is not a sig.
