The 2nd recipe is closer to the way I roast okra. I sprinkle mine with
a little kosher salt, if I have the right brand. I bought one brand
that was too coarse and thick.

I love Okra... The flavor is very nice.

Looks like the bugs are enjoying it!

Thanks for the picture. I have never, ever seen the stuff. I've heard
so many stories but maybe it just doesn't grow anywhere I've lived or
been. I heard lots of stories from my dad about him and his dad and
their bouts with the stuff.

The nuts look good, but I'm just totally confused. It doesn't make any
sense at all. Won't the beer just leak through all those holes?

<rofl>

I've personally always appreciated hairy men. :-) I still like to tease
my sister about that. She thought I was weird... then went and married
one of the hairiest men I'd ever seen! <g>

She finally understood why I found hairy men to be sexy as hell. ;-D

Huh, neither have I... I like to roast a bunch of veggies with meat too
when I set up the table top roaster. I'll have to try that.

Why shave it off? Hairy men are sexy. <g>

YMMV of course!

But, I like it...

I find it amusing actually that my sister ended up marrying one of the
furriest men I've ever known. She used to chide me about my preferences
and thought it was gross.

Now she understands. ;-D

Hadn't thought about this in decades: We discovered that one of the guys
in my college dorm hall had one - one! - chest hair. Of course, we pulled
it out.

When my dad came home on leave from the navy his sisters wrestled him to
the ground, sat on him and plucked his unibrow.
