I cooked a ham last weekend and had some left so it had to be made into
something. Also had some sour cream, some Miracle Whip (which I don't like, but it was part of a recipe for the holidays), some celery and other things. After removing the ham from the bone there was more than the recipe for Deviled Ham that I have called for, so I started improvising to use it all. It was only supposed to have sour cream, shallots, celery, spices, mustard and ham. I added some swiss cheese that had to be used up, some colby-jack (ditto), some Miracle Whip, onion in place of shallots and chopped it all up in the FP. After chilling for a while it is delicious. Spread on crackers, it could use some chopped nuts that I also have. -- Cheryl (who will get back on the diet track this week) |
