Default Cracker pizza (REC)

Use either Ritz or regular soda crackers as the base.

Slice roma tomatoes thinly, lay a slice over the cracker as the base.

Sprinkle some garlic powder and mixed italian herbs over that.

Layer some thinly sliced sausage and/or pepperoni over the tomato slice.

Top with sliced mushroom and grated mozarella or jack cheese.

Nuke for a couple of minutes, depending on how hot your microwave runs.
Alternately, broil in the oven or toaster oven until the cheese bubbles.

Eat. ;-d

Sounds like that would be taller than it is wide. :-) I could deal with an
English muffin, bagel, or pita base for a "pizza", but I don't think I
could do crackers.

English muffins work well too, but do try the crackers. <g>

And yes, they can get rather tall but it still works!

Nice for a quick "fix" without doing a phone order.

Whatever works. <g>

After all the elaborate holiday cooking, sometimes quick snacks are not
a bad thing!

Since I am detoxing from the holidays, I am living la vita low-carb,
again. I will use pizza sauce and skip the crackers. Sounds good, though.

I thought this was going to be a pizza recipe from down south.

I used to make a "fast" pizza when my kids were young - using baking
powder biscuit batter (straight from the Bisquick box recipe) - spread
in the pan and top with pizza toppings. It was really good.

I've made "quick bread" (biscuit recipe) dough too in the past for a
quick pizza instead of making yeast bread. :-) It does work...

When my kids were little, they would make their own pizzas on flour
tortillas. They would make designs and faces with pepperoni or
vegetables. My oldest son does not cook, but my youngest one does.
