Thanks for posting your mother's shortbread recipe.
I made the dough for Christmas but it didn't manage to actually bake them. Baked them today, they're delicious. nancy |

FWIW, I froze some and left some in the can. Forgetting that there were some in the can I had been taking them out of the freezer a little ahead of time. Then I discovered the can. I think they improved from sitting there a few weeks. |

I ran out of steam at Christmas to bake them, so while the dough was frozen a few days, it's been thawed for a week at least, and the cookies are none the worse for wear as far as I can tell. Amazing, only 3 ingredients: butter, brown sugar and flour. Pretty indestructible. A keeper. nancy |
