Very cool. :-) Jewely stays occupied fence chasing cars all day. Since
she is inside of the fence line (we taught her to not try to jump UP the
fence by putting up an electric wire for awhile)) it's safe.

As much as I love my cats, a dog satisfies a need. :-)

So look at a different breed? There are dog breeds for every
personality!

Do consider rescuing an adult tho'. Most people want puppies and they
are a LOT of work. Toooo many discarded adults are destroyed every year.

No way a regular dog tooth cleaning would cost $1000. That vet must
be related to P.T. Barnum.

<snort> Indeed...

Dentals on the cats have never run me more than $60.00. The dogs run a
bit more but nowhere NEAR 1K!!!

She needs to find a more reasonable vet.

1. there are breath tablets for dogs.
2. Dog bones help remove the tartar & sweeten the breath.
3. A local PetSmart or Petco can advise you properly as can a call to any
vet.

Good Luck

I think that bad breath in dogs could indicate other issues. maybe
plaque and associated infected gums, or some digestive problem.
Mention it to your vet. I do believe very healthy dogs do not have
nasty breath. Just my $.02

Good luck! :-)
Our current 3 were adopted as adults.
A lot less hassle, easier to train and adapt and bond just as well as
any puppy IME.

That's the problem with trying to care for too many pets.
It's hard to give each one the attention it really needs and deserves.
:-)

My sister had to move and couldn't take all three of her cats, so one came
home with me after the move.

Yup, she's a she. Someone called her a tortie tux because of her white neck
and feet.

Wow he is a lucky mouse. What a wonderful array of food you give him.
I used to have a white rat as a kid and I loved him, but now the rats
and mice we have are simple outdoor nuisances on our farm.

I seriously doubt they have the benefit of some one who belongs to
