Looks like Gmail accounts have to be blocked again. I'll be changing mine to
something else. Sorry to all you folks who use Gmail, but I'm sick of the SPAM. You can barely see the real posts for all the damn spamming. -- Wayne Boatwright (correct the spelling of "geemail" to reply) ************************************************** ********************** Date: Friday, 01(I)/16(XVI)/09(MMIX) ************************************************** ********************** Countdown till Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2dys 22hrs 5mins ************************************************** ********************** I've had fun before. You can barely see the real posts for all the damn spamming. I have a gmail account, and I think the filters work pretty well. Just deleted, 23 spam- in 2 clicks, that came in over night as opposed to 2 in my Inbox that I wanted. Wayne be sure you have set up your gmail correctly. Somehow I got in on the beta version of gmail, long ago, and have been happy all along. I always wonder why people get so angry at it. I have no clue as to the reason. aloha, Cea |

You can barely see the real posts for all the damn spamming. I don't have gmail blocked and I rarely see spam. Perhaps you need a better newsserver? Or just use better focus words for the filter? |

You can barely see the real posts for all the damn spamming. I don't like SPAM that much either (or the local equivalent of). It's Mystery Meat, IMHO. Oh, you mean spam? - I haven't seen any lately, and I don't have Gmail users filtered out. -- Cheers Chatty Cathy |

With all the spam, especially jewelry ads, being sent by Gmail
accounts, I am willing to miss a few good posts if it helps cut down on most of the spam that is polluting newsgroups. It seems like it is working. With Agent, I just created a filter deleting anything that ends with @gmail.com. In one group, it immediately removed almost 550 posts. Mark |

I'm guessing the folks at Motzarella have good spam filters, in fact it would seem their filters are orders of magnitude better than the ones my ISP used when it still carried Usenet. |

You can barely see the real posts for all the damn spamming. I saw a bit when I used AT&T's server. I was able to filter most of it out. Since I switched to usenetmonster I see none.
