Default Dinner last night 16thJan

Chicken and salad.

Found a (smallish) chook in the freezer, so defrosted it, cut it in two and
marinated it in a Portuguese sauce (Peri-Peri based). Came time to cook
them, so skewered them up and grilled them on our "Son of Hibachi".

I was going to do it the 'traditional' Portuguese way and just split the
chook and lay it flat, but they wouldn't have fitted on the Hibachi.

Served with a green leaf salad (predominately rocket) with a chunky
'salsa' mix....... and the juices from the 'resting'.

Too much green...

Other than that, it looks good.

I don't like your square plates though.

Looked very 'yummy', Peter.....

I just returned home to Sydney again this week from your home town,
Brisbane...... I spent 3 whole weeks in that lousy humid climate, I spent
most of the time with my laptop, sitting in my allocated room with the air
conditioning on 18oC, as the temp and humidity was unbearable outside. ... I
would have a shower and as soon as I poked my head outside again, the water
was dripping from my hair with perspiration....

Even though the temperature has been over 40oC this week, I could better
bear it without that high humidity....

My daughter wants me to sell up here in Sydney and build or buy up
there....NO SIREEE!!

You're both on the Coast. Why the difference between the two cities?

One is closer to the equator than the other.

South East Queenland is horrific during summer, as you've discovered.

I've live in many places around the Sunshine Coast and hinterland, and
also (unfortunately) Brisbane, for a couple of years. The summers there
are just brutal - and I also live for 17 years near Darwin - which
*never* got as hot and humid as SE QLD does.

It certainly is.

I cooked it outside because I didn't want to heat the house up using the
oven!!

The drink of choice when the SO got home was G&T..... and then a bottle
of *very* chilled champagne with dinner.

Which reminds me........ I have to go get some more ice-cubes.

Well, Jebus, I have spent a lot of time in the past years at Tweed Heads and
the Gold Coast , and also the Sunshine Coast, but only a day or two in
Brisbane until last February (2 weeks) and this Christmas (3
weeks).........And it was even hotter when I was up there in February 08.

The humidity was never as high in those other area's I have
mentioned........

Don't think I agree with you on the part of your post.....

"Darwin - which *never* got as hot and humid as SE QLD does"

I see that it is, most times, the 'Hottest' temperatures in Australia..... I
could not survive those temperatures like you must....

Yalgoo PJ Morawa Mullewah ally all in high 40's

And that was the the in the shade at the seed cleaners at PJ

Not sure CBh would have been happy with moist wheat going in during
the last loads

However the "relative" humidity outside the seed cleaners can be
within 24 hours anything from 12 13 % up to 48 in Jan Feb

As I said although working in the shade it was a killer ( if
people only knew the work that goes into a KG of Flour ) (not to
mention the carbon footprint)

That would be overkill and expensive But is done daily by various
sat and other remote sensing imagery

easy way is with a camera off the phone and the instrument panel

That photo gets appended to the Quality control sheet sometimes If
testing /drying/cleaning new strains for GRDC .

We are actually testing Thermology here to monitor breeding flocks &
herds for precise AI (hence the nitrogen canisters abundant here
even for testing Boiled eggs ) .

Sock puppest can send email and pics arrive simple eh

Barry........ those two grubs, and the other one, 'peninsular'.......
all stalker/trolls.

That grub putz09 was the original stalker, who went back to the oz
groups and 'recruited' the other two grubs to help it "disrupt the yank
cooking group".

Please don't feed the trolls/stalkers.
