Why oil or spray parchment paper? I treat it as a nonstick

aem,

It helps to keep the crumb/batter on the chicken, more often than not.

Nice picture!

But I just have to ask, since I've seen it before. What food item do
you use the glue for?

hey, I had some of that TJ's salsa on my breakfast scramble this morning!
Fried potatoes, onions, eggs, and a little bit of bacon and cheese, all
mixed together.

It wouldn't be an "Andy" food pic without the Elmer's Glue clearly
visible!

Dan,

OK, I'll come clean...

Once upon a time a kitchen cabinet door came apart and I used Elmer's Glue
to refasten it and temporarily put it on the kitchen table while it dried.
When the drawer was back together, in a moment of laziness I just sat it on
the kitchen table condiment tray and basically forgot about it.

Which one? Green or red?

I prefer the mild green stuff more often.

The one thing that never ceases to amaze me about web sites like
Allrecipes is the people who comment about the recipes. They all say the
recipe is great, but they make so many changes that they really aren't
making the original recipe at all. How can they say it's "great"?

Just thinking.

Janet,

Sometimes yes, sometimes not. Lots of peer reviews are a result of "not at
hand" ingredients at the moment. At lease there's a "backbone" of reviews
that pass or fail, staying "close" to the recipe.

Peer review, as off-track as it can get, doesn't stray very much, without
reasonable "re-peer" review of the additions. Better that way than none at
all?

Best,

Andy

That's the truth Gloria. He doesn't have a wife to civilize him and
no dog these days to clean off the real ones before he puts them into
the dishwasher.

Really decent pic!

I just grilled a couple of beef patties for myself today and ate them
early. Have not been hungry since.

I babysat the nephews today and served them a big bunch of purple
grapes, some chunks of mozarella cheese and some nuked beef smokies.

They wiped out the cheese and most of the grapes first and ate most of
the little smokies. ;-) The BIL finished the smokies and the last 6
grapes when he picked up the boys.

I love sitting for them. Gives me a chance to spend time with them.
The advantage of being an Auntie. I can play with the kids for a few
hours then give them back when I'm done. <g> They are 3 and 6.

I don't charge for babysitting...
