Another urban ledgend in the making......just like Hillary Clinton's
Chocolate Chip Cookies. She don't no nuthin about bakin a cookie let
alone where the kitchen is. The closest PEBO knows about chili is
the night he got home late and got a chilly shoulder from the
wife....LOL!

Yeh, ok?

I'm sure the arteries will thank you in a week's time with Lipid

I just can't force myself to like potato cakes made from mashed potatoes.
(Probably another food item that the Navy has ruined for me.) The outside
always seems leathery and somewhat bitter, while the inside is fairly
tasteless and mealy.

Also, is the apricot tart made from dried apricots?

I am wondering whether the apricots are on a frangipane base?

I make a pastry dough with cake flour.

You can still have a frangipane base. It means an almond pastry
filling... on top of the pastry dough.

I have several recipes with this, a frangipane base, sometimes a
custard base with almonds/almond paste, but also can be an almond
paste type base.

Whichever it is, I am a sucker for it. And apricots go so well with
almonds...

Oh! I have been wondering about using such flour or pastry flour
in crusts.

TJ's used to have a divine frozen apricot tart, with frangipane,
which was imported from France. It went the way of many lovely
TJ's offerings, alas. I think one could even make a low-carb
version of this....
