Here are some photos of our meals in Las Vegas.
At Pho So #1 on Spring Mountain, we had Pho, Roast Pork noodle bowl and summer rolls, or spring rolls. http://www.cruisemaster.com/phoso1.jpg http://www.cruisemaster.com/phoso1a.jpg At Archie's Thai restaurant, we ordered: http://www.cruisemaster.com/archi1.jpg thai egg rolls http://www.cruisemaster.com/archi2.jpg pork stuffed chicken wings http://www.cruisemaster.com/archi3.jpg chicken fried rice http://www.cruisemaster.com/archi4.jpg pork pad Thai At Ellis Island, it was ham & eggs. http://www.cruisemaster.com/ellisham.jpg I did not bring the camera to every meal, but I should have. In between meals, we went to see Bette Midler, the Blue Man Group, the Titanic Museum and Ethyl M's Chocolate Factory. Mmmm... chocolate. Becca |

Hope it > was a good trip!! There are so many restaurants in Vegas. My first trip there was to an electrolysis convention 20 years ago, and the city has changed a lot. There are so many pedestrians and traffic is bumper to bumper. I still enjoy seeing the shows, though. Becca |

Mmmm... chocolate. > > Becca I was on vacation in Las Vegas earlier this month. Probably the most memorable meal I had there wasn't really a meal. It was two Sundays ago when the Eagles played the Giants for the NFC East championship football game. Being as though my three traveling companions and I are all from Eagles territory, we had to watch the game somewhere. We ended up at a local pub called Steiners in a Las Vegas suburb. The game started at 11:00am and I had breakfast at 9:00am with one of my friends, so I wasn't very hungry. All my friends ordered some food right away when the game started. I tried some of the nachos a friend ordered, but I wanted until half time before I ordered anything. At half time, I still wasn't very hungry, but I didn't want to mooch off this place, so I ordered their potato skins appetizer and a soda. It was quite good. Everyone else in my party ordered at least one beer and a sandwich. Everything they ordered was well received. We had a great time, and most of the other people there, including the staff, were Eagles fans. We also went for dinner one night to the Monte Carlo buffet. I think dinner set us back $20 each. The food was very good. I only took one plate of food, but it was loaded. I then went back for some sugar free cheese cake for dessert. Quite good. We had initiatively intended to have one dinner at a really fancy place while we were in Las Vegas. I have no idea why, but that never happened. I was also in Las Vegas last October with my sister. Our one fancy meal that trip was at the Top of the World Restaurant, which is a rotating restaurant near the top of the Stratosphere Tower. I reserved a table at sunset, so we got to see the surrounding area and enjoy a very nice meal during sunset. Then I took my camera and shot several dozen photos of the surrounding area from way up high. We had a great time that evening. |

They finally removed that roller coaster off the top of the restaurant and put a new tilawhirl attraction up there.....NOT for me! |
