Default How do you use a chicken scissor?

I only use fryer chickens and have no problem cutting them with a
knife. Does chicken scissor make cutting much easier?

But they are handy to have around! I have a pair of Ginghers that come apart
for washing, and I use them for a whole lot more than chicken.

I've tried using poultry shears a couple of times.

A knife is much easier for me, but probably because that's the way I was
taught as a child by mom. :-)

I currently use my chinese chef's knife. It's great for splitting the
breast in half.

If I'm dismembering the chicken for frying, I use a knife. If I'm
spatchcocking the chicken I prefer poultry shears. I seem to have more
control cutting through the ribcage with the shears.

Ok, I'll second that one! I don't spatchcock often, but the shears
really are handy for that chore.

How macabre... first you're splitting breasts
and now you're spatching cocks... how do you
bash in a can of Texas Champagne (Coors)? hehe
