Jeez, let me know who your DR is because I >> >> I don't have a doctor. >> > >This is just upsetting. Yes, it is. On more than one level too. Where were his real life friends or family? He didn't have to die! Emergency rooms are used as Dr's offices by the uninsured in California. We also have free clinics scattered around and cities like LA have many - some of which are affiliated with teaching universities. Unfortunately, I know just how he felt because I've been there. He didn't have enough energy to get out of bed and endure sitting in the ER for whatever time it took to be seen. Getting there would have been impossible unless he called a cab (with no energy, even that's too hard) - or someone who insists and assists. What I don't understand is he was a productive citizen, so what happened to his health insurance? He could be a poster boy for national health insurance! -- I never worry about diets. The only carrots that interest me are the number of carats in a diamond. Mae West |
