An egg-olivada-cheese thing in an LC pita. Coffee, of course.

You have your auto show; I am going to a book sale and then an
ephemera show. I hope there is not too much at the latter to lead
me into temptation.

Jean B,

Made me google olivada! I'd eat that dish!

Is it a library book sale? My town library has one every April and October
(50¢ a book or $5/bag o' books). Hope you "jackpot!"

Best,

Andy

Dan,

While I like your thinking, will a V12 let me drive any more deer collision
free compared to my V6?

I went to a library book sale that was en route (nothing
interesting) and then got into LOTS of trouble at the book and
ephemera show. I need to oust the cookbooks from the 1930s
(except for what appear to be a few seminal works) from my
bookshelves to house this... mess. I must repeat: no more books
and booklets until I get the ones I have housed.

Jean B,

Books can amount to nothing more than "paperweights!" unless read.

If you really want to go, get a W12 Bugatti Veyron

See: http://www.expat-village.com/article_2068.shtml

(excerpt).....

But what an amazing technical achievement this car is. Built around a
carbon-fibre body and using aluminium, magnesium and titanium in its
construction, it has a frontal cross-sectional area of 2.07 square
metres. Travelling at the top speed is like pushing two standard
sheets of plywood through the air at 253mph.

Try it. At that speed the fuel being consumed has the potential energy
of 3,000bhp, almost 1000bhp to push the car along, 1,000 thrown out of
the back as exhaust heat and another 1,000 dissipated by the three
separate cooling systems with six separate radiators. At 253mph this
car will drain its 22-gallon tank in exactly 12 minutes. But where on
earth are you going to do 253mph for 12 minutes?

Sounds like a fun way to go out for breakfast.

How do you figure? A sheet of plywood is (4' x 8') 32 square feet or 2.9
sq. meters. 2.07 sq. meters is 22.3 sq. ft.

Of course if those sheets of plywood were laid flat they would go even
faster.

Om,

I missed Sunday brunch!

I'm iced in.

My "ferocious" VW GTI/VR6 isn't going anywhere, anytime soon, today. ((

I don't know what's to become of my "Meal of the Day." It'll probably
include m&c.

Missing out on superbowl Sunday with the birdbrains too! Maybe that's a
good thing???

Dammit!

Just to make you feel better... I had LO steak.... Sauteed some
onion, added a bit of Worcestershire Sauce and a small glug of RW
vinegar, in addition to s+p, of course. Added the thinly sliced
steak for just long enough to heat. Put some mozzarella cheese in
an LC pita and topped it with this mess. Bad idea--the pita was
too flimsy for this, so I took off the top and ate it with a knife
and fork. Also, the mozz wasn't great in this, but it seemed to
be the best choice from the cheeses I have. I need to find my
thyme or skittle over to Penzey's.
