Default Ill and bored on Sunday

I have had almost nothing for lunch as I had some nausea, this flu is really
annoying, and now I'm starting to feel better and think about dinner.
Shops are closed, so I don't have and can't buy chicken otherwise I'd be
having a nice broth.
So I decided for pizza and focaccia: beer yeast and a mix of all-purpose
flour with a third of manitoba, kneaded it and let it rest 4 hours, about 3
from now. Then I will make two bacthes: 1 thick and well dressed with EVO
oil, and the other one thinner for a tomato + mozz + gorgonzola pizza.
Now, If only I could get rid of this sore throat and fever...

Vilco,

Sorry to hear about your temporary flu misery!

Pizza and focaccia are great "delivery" comfort foods!

You shouldn't be cooking at a time like this!!!

Get well quick!

Hot and sour soup.
It can be made with any meat and is the best thing in the world for a
sore throat.

See if you have a local chinese place that delivers! I do.

You're awfully ambitious for someone so sick!

Poor boyo! Hope you're feeling better by now. Someone should be cooking
FOR you, you shouldn't have to do it yourself when you're ill!!

That is the one thing canned soups are truly handy for...
I rarely buy them but they do have their uses.

I find that dehidrated vegetables soups Knorr are the ideal!

Oh I despise that dehydrated taste! When I had the flu recently, I ate
almost all the frozen stocks, broths and concentrates I had made for next
hot season. Fortunately I have duck bodies and chicken off cuts waiting,
and can get the other meats in time to miss the July heat.

This is curious!!!! When you have flu you eat duck and chicken DDDDDDD
BTW I like the taste of "Passato di verdure Knorr" in busta. I eat it with
some little pasta like Corallini Barilla. Very good. In 8 minutes is all
ready, and your stomach is full

No, I eat the brodo for the liquids and the soothing qualities for the sore
throat.

I like the frozen passata di verdure that looks like big green aspirina, but
I have not liked any of the dried soups. I was not hungry anyway, just
keeping body and soul together, and certainly could not go to the market to
buy soups!

I wish I could agree Panda dear, but at least around here, Knorr is
nothing but a bullion cube so has little nutritional value. It's good
mostly for just flavoring stuff.

Canned soups on the other hand (if you get the right brand) are actually
a real meal and you need that when you are sick. :-)

Just my personal opinion of course!
