Default Jeremy's birthday

Hi, Jules!

Thanks for the photos of your snowshoe day.
Looks like it was pretty up there.

Martha said you were thinking about getting
an espresso maker like ours for Jer. If you
do decide, I will be happy to contribute $100
to the purchase. SHe also said they would
be OK with a contribution but I don't know
how much.

We have been very happy with ours.

Martha's birthday is Wednesday, the 4th.
If they go skiing, I'm thinking of sending up
a cake.

Love,
gloria p

Hey! I'll bet you're going to be embarrassed when you find out this was
posted to r.f.c. instead of or in addition to being mailed. . . . .

God Bless you. I did this once last year. Aren't you glad you weren't
telling somebody to stick it?

Feh! It was an accident. Hell, I'm just glad it wasn't me. Before I
post, I see this: "This program posts news to thousands of machines
throughout the civilized world. Please be sure you know what you are
doing."

You're a good sport! (So, are you going in on Jeremy's birthday gift?)

The first thing I did was to shut off that warning (it's the very first
item in the very first preference option). So far I haven't regretted
it, but we'll see!

Understood. I left it there quite deliberately. If I'm hot under the
collar, it forces another opportunity to think before posting.

Is it your birthday? Gloria buys everyone an espresso maker on their
birthday. Although it gets rather old after you've received 3 or 4.

OK, now that makes two of you I can say this has happened to i the
last week or two.

Have I told you how much I LOVE (and recommend) having different
software programs for email and new reading???? Those mistakes don't
happen unless it's a one program fits all situation.

And a pony.

No, wait, omigod, what am I saying?!!!

"Oooh, gee, yes, I'd like another a half ton, paint-colored, cash
sucking financial black hole installed in my household budget. Sign me
right up for that."

Given the price of hay this winter, I've been considering asking Al if
it might be less expensive to simply switch Reno over to a diet of
actual currency.

In my more malevolent moments I have often thought that one of the
dirtiest tricks you could play upon a despised enemy would be to give
that person's young daughter a "free" horse.

Free, or nearly free horses are easy to find. My daughter's first
horse, Luna, the psycho bitch homicidal mustang from hell, was a
freebie. "Steve", the manager at the stable where my daughter's friend
boarded, basically threw Luna's papers at my under-aged daughter as he
skipped out of town just ahead of the officer serving his papers.

And DD still believed that love (and training money) could conquer all.

"Steve", I hear you're back in town again. I know what you look like.
I know who you hang out with. I know who's even madder at you than I
am; got their numbers in my cell. And I know where you live. Sleep
well, "Steve".

Nah, it was my own fault.

I was reading rfc and decided to email my daughter-in-law.
I clicked on "write" and never noticed that the "to" line
read rfc before I hit "send".

I use Thunderbird and Firefox and should have kn0own better.

:-) Lots of people here don't think before posting. Or they simply
don't care about the fallout. And there's always some sucker who'll
take the bait the first time it's cast. (I always try to wait a while
before I bite and if I'm lucky, the furor has died down enough that it's
even more pointless to get involved.)

I think this needs to go into the FAQ: on each rfc participant's birthday,
GloriaP will send him/her an espresso maker or equivalent.

I'll return this year's espresso maker - please send me a Sharp convection
microwave oven. ASAP. This one will suffice:

Funny, I've *never* seen any of that stuff here of which you speak, Barb...

Oh ... no thanks, I've been getting my espresso maker every July
for years now. I actually don't have room for another, but I
thought you shouldn't cut in line like that anyway.

Oh, heck yeah! Gloria's a real brick! A fine woman! Good cook, too.

Y'know, Jeb, you gotta learn the difference between helping out when you
can (an admirable trait) and pushing your luck (not so much). The Cabal
(TINC) has been notified.

Hey, what the h*ll. Remember the old expression, "In for a penny, in
for a pound." Watch for the UPS man....

Or donate 'em to the homeless.

As the Queen of France advised before she lost her head,
"Let them drink Lattes."
