At the very least you should hold the bill info for one month until you
confirm the payment was processed properly.

I've had occasion to pull up payment records from a multi year period
during the course of ripping a bank a new one. It got their attention.

Yes, or at least until I get around to the scanning and archiving
electronically.

The Fellowes DM12Ct seems to live up to it's performance rating and then
some. It will shred junk mail whole, including thick stuff that includes
bogus credit cards and the like. It also does this without sounding like
it is going to fly apart any second. Seems a good buy for the $87 or so
at Costco.
