Felice,

He's still around and playing as of October 2007 (from another youtube
video).

I saw him in person once as a kid. I had never seen a 12-string guitar. I
was in awe!!!

Best,

Andy

Andy, a bit of history for you: I was living in Greenwich Village in the
late 40's and the 50's, in the Seeger/Weaver days, hanging out in Washington
Square and singing folk songs.

Felice,

That had to've been TOO much fun!!! Cool bit of history! Thanks for sharing
it! Did you sing together with Pete?

Do you still sing?

I visited Washington Square once, passing thru. Nothing remarkable that I
remember (2005).

I'd've sang along.

Best,

Andy

I pretty much gave up singing when my voice went south and my guitar went
north to school with Senior Daughter. But I sure do listen -- Woody's Asch
recordings, the Almanacs, Seeger, and now Springsteen's Seeger Sessions. Old
folkies never die ...

I've always liked the song and loved the singer.

Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, The Weavers, Kingston Trio,
Joan Baez, Miriam Makeba, Judy Collins, Josh White...
What wonderful music we experienced. The stuff the
kids of today listen to us nothing but noise.

(Yes, of course my parents said the same thing.)
