Nick's: Thin crust Chicago pizza??
I saw a food program last night about Nick's Pizza! http://www.nickspizzapub.com/site/home/ They're a thin crust pizza chain serving up some mighty fine pizzas. They showcased the Italian beef thin crust pizza, among a couple others. Looked delicious! A hidden treasure? The locals seemed to think so! Any foodie opinions? Best, Andy |

Deep dish in restaurants didn't even show up until 1942 or 43 by Uno's. Lou Malnotti's didn't show up until the early 70's and quickly became one of the larger chains but today thin crust accounts for almost half their sales. There's lots of places to get a good thin crust pizza in Chicago. Lou |

If Michael is in Ann Arbor he should visit Zingerman's, considered one of the best deli's in the country... I also hope that if he is using I80/94 to get from Illannoy to Michigan that he doesn't run into a raging lake - effect snowstorm in northern Indiana...the forecast is cold enuf for snow this weekend. -- Best Greg |

Most places, it's a wad of soggy bread. As in any other town, I've had good and bad thin. Mostly, if I had to eat that kind of food, I'd go for a dog, italian beef, gyros or maybe a great ChopPac burger platter at Chopper's in Wicker Park. Or, preferably, go to a neighborhood for real food. Ribs? I think that's just for tourists. Like Uno and Duo. bulka |

Like Uno and Duo. > > bulka bulka, A few years back a friend and I visited Jon's pizza in NYC (famous by reputation only?) and we had a thin crust pepperoni pizza. I walked out feeling gypped!!! I'm more a "middle of the road dough" boy! ;) There's a "Pizzeria Uno" a few miles up the road here in Pennsylvania making deep dish but I'd rather be able to try/buy it by the slice like in town rather than have to buy the entire "monstrosity in the round." :D Best, Andy |
