Default OT Mr. J. Box's tragic accident

Am I the only one who is entertained by the Jack In The Box commercials and
the goings-on with Mr. Box? I can see a whole series of commercials dealing
with Mr. Box and his hospitalization, follow-up 'plastic surgery' (snort),
recovery, perhaps amnesia. Great stuff. I'm looking forward to this. I
also follow the California Cow commercials. Otherwise I channel surf the
instant a commercial comes on.

They are no doubt GREAT commercials.

The production value for commercials is generally head and shoulders above
the production value for TV shows and quite often higher than movies.

IIRC the VP of the AD agency that does the JITB commercials plays Jack.

If you like that sort of news then ad age is a great source of information.

http://adage.com/

When I spent time in the TOY business I usually spent Saturday mornings with
my kids watching the cartoons so I could watch the commercials.

Janet,

I don't get to watch the Gag-In-The-Bag TV commercials here in PA but I'm a
big fan of the "Ultimate Cheeseburger" they make.

Good thing I left Kalifornia!

Best,

Search HangInThereJack.com or just plain HangInThereJack. Large number of
hits besides the official one. You're missing the best part of TV if you
can't get the Box commercials.

I didn't know that about the VP. It just seems to me that the agencies that
do commercials like Jack, the Cows, Geico etc. have a more personal
investment in the ads. At the very least I appreciate their effort to make
something palatable that is otherwise a dead bore.

Since there are no Jack in the Box outlets around here I have never seen
any of their commercials. However, I am a big fan of Stella Artois
commercials. They are hilarious.

No Stella Artois here, but I wonder why other ad companies can't seem to hit
the right note to get attention.

Janet,

Those are the most utterly stupid TV commercials I've ever seen!

Yeah, I know. Those are just the sidebars in response to the commercial
about his accident. But I had a good time looking through them while
outside the weather is not rain and not snow. Icky. The World Winter
Special Olympic Games are being held here this week. I hope they get the
kind of weather they want and then let me get me get back to sunshine and
warmer temps.

I bet they had to fight over that one.
If he has kids, think of the bragging rights.

The president probably either doesn't have kids
or does have breasts, otherwise the VP wouldn't
have gotten it.

Stella was an InBev product. One of the results of the merger with AB
is that they've begun distributing Stella through the old AB channels.

And the food they advertise?

Fast food companies spend more on advertising and PR - about 8
Billion/year - than they do on the actual food.

That would be a bad business decision. What happens to the voice of
Jack when they decide to can the ad agency?

I haven't seen any Jack in the Box commercials (I am a DVR Diva), but
will admit to winding a new California Cow commercial back to watch.
Guess I'm going to have to rewind an occasional "cone head" commercial
