Ohhhhh, you're in the UK. Different places do things differently. Here, in the middle of North America, hot dogs come in plastic. The only ones I've ever seen in cans have been Vienna sausages, which I'm sure have nothing to do with Vienna, whatsoever. Sorry for the confusion. Nothing to see here, folks, move along .... It wouldn't surprise me to find out there was (or at least had been at one time) chicken SPAM, too. My comment was more directed towards the ingredients of tinned (canned) hot dogs.
