Default tight situations

I've been in a *lot* of tight situations over the years but the worst
was when I had an MRI (25mins inside the bloody thing!!). I had a
cloth
over my eyes, but I could feel my breath bouncing back at me from the
roof of the hole. It starts your mind thinking about how close
everything is...... it took every bit of self control I had to stop my
mind from getting away with itself and freaking me out. It wouldn't
have
been so bad if I could have moved my arms, but my shoulders were
touching the sides as well.
I've slept underground (in fighting pits) before, but there's always
been a bit of 'leeway', and I've 'slept' in a gas mask (and full NBC
gear) as well, and I've been in plenty of tunnels (some filled 3/4
with
slush) so close quarters isn't a problem.

Probably why I like jumping out of the small planes I go up in. I hate
being in them on the way up, but when the door is opened, I get an
almost palpable sense of relief at being able to 'escape'.

The mind is a powerful tool if you can put it to use for you. If you
let
it get out on it's own, you're screwed ;-)

It's much like a tiger in a cage. You have to learn how to tame it,
and
even though you 'tame' it, you keep an eye on it at all times

Oh, BTW......... I'm back online ;-)

(I hate unpacking....... now I have to learn all the new spots for all
my stuff!!)

Peter Lucas Just because I want to be in charge
Brisbane and run things *my* way
Australia (which BTW, is the right way),
that doesn't mean that I'm a
Control Freak......... OK?
